Individual Psychotherapy

Dr. Milner helps individuals become ever increasingly aware of self so they accept and separate who they are from what others want them to be. In other words, working towards individual self-growth is the ultimate goal of psychotherapy. Being the boss of yourself is much more productive and empowering than wasting energy trying to control others.

This is an extract from one of the many unsolicited letters Dr. Milner receives frequently,

“Catherine, thank you for being there for me in perhaps the most trying time of my life. I will look back to our sessions and draw strength from all the time we spent and everything that you taught me in your very special way. Giving me the space and direction to eventually figure out what I probably already knew. I simply wasn’t able to find it without your help. So, as I depart shortly to go back ‘home’, there will be bittersweet reflections but never sadness as I have gained everything and lost nothing. Thank you for helping me, guiding me, and directing me back to where I needed to be.”

This was from someone who was wonderfully proactive in their own journey and Dr. Milner felt very honored and humbled to share his pathway to growth.
